We will start with a complimentary 20-minute phone or video consultation to see if we are a good fit for you. We will discuss your symptoms and goals and answer any questions you may have about Mater Pelvic Care, including our services and fees.
Patient Portal
Let’s get started!
You will create an account in our Patient Portal before your first appointment. Here, you will receive a copy of your intake and consent forms to fill out and receive instructions to download a phone app where you and Dr. Elony will track your personalized Home Exercise Program and receive tailored educational handouts.
Answer Your Door
For in-home sessions, we will arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment to set up where you have privacy and space to move around. We recommend wearing stretchy and comfortable clothes like leggings or loose shorts so we can visualize your pelvis and palpate your muscles through your clothes.

Full Body Assessment
Your first session will last 1 hour and 15 minutes (for in-home sessions) or 1 hour for clinic evaluations. During the visit, we will review your medical history, current lifestyle, reason for seeing us, and your goals for treatment. We will then perform a comprehensive head-to-toe physical examination to assess your strength, motion, posture, and function. We will not perform an internal pelvic examination during the first visit unless specifically requested.

Create a Game Plan
After the examination, we will explain our findings in depth. We will answer any questions and work with you to develop a custom program to address your goals. The program can include activity modifications that may be contributing to your symptoms and a home exercise program that you can easily fit into your daily life.
Follow-Up Visits & Communication
After your initial evaluation, we will schedule your follow-up visits based on your needs, budget, and availability. Your follow-up visits will be for one hour.
You will communicate with Dr. Elony between sessions via secure phone, text, or patient portal app.
